I Can't Wait!

Hey Everyone!

I just wanted to make a quick post about an amazing email I got recently. If you don't already know I'm involved with this website called Influenster (I have a post talking more about this so check that out). I recently got an email notifying me that I will be getting the Holiday VoxBox! Yayyyy!!! I'm so excited and I can't wait to see what I get to try out! I just wanted to give you guys a heads up so you know whats in store for the future. I know I haven't posted anything on here/Youtube for awhile however I've had some things going on that I'm trying to take care of however I hope to start posting more stuff soon!  Until then, see you soon!

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain

Hey Everyone! Here are some more thoughts and pictures of the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain sticks that I have. I really love these products and they're great for everyday use! I love how build-able the colors are and how you can get a sheer or bold lip from one product! They also have a lot of color shades available. These retail around $6.99-$7.99 which isn't bad compared to similar products on the market that cost more.

I used coupons so I got mine a little cheaper. The colors I have are Charm, Honey, Cherish, and Lovesick. I can't really point out a favorite however I do really like the natural glow I get from Cherish. The packaging is also really nice on these, I like how travel friendly they are and how I don't have to worry about the cap coming off or anything like that. The colors on the tube of each of these balms are also very true to the color in the tube.

I think they are a really good representation of what you're getting in the tube. As for the texture I these balms go on very smooth and I don't find them particularly drying. I wouldn't say the really moisture your lips but they don't dry them out either. The staying power of these is also very good, they are stains so they do tint your lips even after the balm has been wiped off. Check out my video review to see these products in action!

Crest Whitestrips Unboxing

Hey Everyone! Today I want to just take about a product I received to review for Influenster. Earlier this month I received the Crest 3D Whitestrips! If you don't know what Influenster is you can check out  an earlier post on this blog titled "Influenster!". Basically it's this really neat website that will send you free samples of products in what they call a VoxBox to test out in exchange for your opinion. This is my first VoxBox so I was really excited to get a full box of these whitestrips. I go into a little more depth in my video review so check that out to see more. They did send me a full sized product which is great because I get to fully test out the product they way it's meant to be used! Below are some photos of what I got and as I continue to use these I will probably do an update on this blog to let you know how things are going.

October Birchbox 2012!

Hey Everyone! I never got around to posting up photos for the October box so here they are in case you want a closer look!

Five samples for this month, and they're all a pretty good size too!

Essie nail polish in Powerclutch, it retails for $8 which almost covers the cost of the whole box.

Everything all lined up together. Not a bad box!

I saw several reviews of this box on Youtube and some people weren't too happy with their boxes for that month but I think I got some pretty good samples. I especially like the nail polish and the body wash from Kiehl's. The only thing I would say I don't like is the Luna bar just because I'm not a big fan but other than that I was happy. Influenster!

Hey Everyone! I'm going to make a video about this later but I wanted to let you guys know here first! I got my first VoxBox from Influenster, kind of. Influenster is kind of new to me but let me explain what it's about. Influenster is this cool website that gives users the opportunity to review and try out new products.

I joined the site a couple months ago after seeing a video about it on YouTube and yesterday I finally got a box! This box is a little different from the regular ones that I've seen on YouTube because it only contains one product/sample but I'm still very excited about it! I'm not going to go into too much detail with this post because I'm going to do another one about the product later on. I got the Crest 3D Whitestrips to try out and yes it is a full size product which is amazing! It's not like I got 2 or 3 strips to try out, I got a full product which includes the 20 whitestrips!

I think having a full product will really make it easier find out the full effects of this product. Sometimes when I get sample sizes of products, like shampoo for example, its hard to know how well the product works. Some things  need to be used more than once to get the full effect and Influenster gets that. Overall I'm really happy with the VoxBox and I can't wait to start trying out this product! September Birchbox!

I know that this is really late but I felt like it was worth talking about regardless! I have to say that I really found that this box had a lot of useful products in it which is always a plus. I really feel like I'm going to use everything in the box. Once in a while I find a product I know I won't use to so this box was really good in my opinion. Hey Everyone! I know its been soooo long and I wanted to just make a quick update about what's happening with this blog. I know in the past its been heavily/mostly reviews on products but I want to do something different. I want to start incorporating more inspirational makeup ideas and fashion ideas (hopefully). In short I want to make it more like my other blog, seen here: http://melfranco.wordpress.com/, even though the blogs are about two very different things. That blog is more graphic design and art related so if you're interested in that please check it out! Anyways I'm planning a lot of new things for the next couple months and I really want to work on this blog and add more to it. I feel like it doesn't get as much love as it should and I want to change that. See you guys soon!

March MyGlam Bag

Hey guys! This is just kind of a brief overview of the MyGlam bag that I received in March. I just wanted to show you some pictures of what I got. I kind of combined some things together to fit into one photo and since I go over everything in the video I won't spend much time talking about it here. To be honest I was really disappointed with this bag. As you can see these samples are probably something you could easily get from Sephora or somewhere similar. There isn't really anything special about them and I don't like the sizes of these samples, I just don't feel like I got my money's worth :( Hopefully the next month will be better.

March 2012 Birchbox

For this month's box we were given the option of getting the regular Birchbox or the Teen Vogue version and I opted for the Teen Vogue one. Overall this was one of Birchbox's best boxes in my opinion, I have to say that I really loved everything I got which can be rare. I thought the packaging was really cute and really made the box look extra special!

Kérastase Elixir Ultime

With the promise to hydrate, smooth, and sleekify (that's one of their words not mine) this is a product I'm eager to try. This is an oil and I've always been cautious about oils so it will be nice to try this stuff without investing much into a product I might not use. A full size is $54 so it is a bit pricey.

Twistband-Hair Tie

I really like these bands, they're great because they don't pull any hair out like other bands tend to! A twelve pack costs $18 but I saw something similar at my local Target for around $4 if I remember correctly.

essie Luxeffects Nail Polish in A Cut Above

I was so excited to get this! I had been eyeing these in the store but decided against it. This one is a light pink with small (almost sequin-like pieces of glitter)Plus this is full size which is really nice! This retails at $8 so that's almost covers the price of the whole box!

Annick Goutal- Petite Cherie Perfume

My first impressions on this are that it smells very good but not good enough for me to spend $85 on which is the retail price according to Birchbox. That is way too much for a perfume in my opinion but if I were ever to become a millionaire I might just pick one of these up!

fresh Sugar Rosé Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15

 I loooveee this stuff! It really hydrates your lips and its so lightweight, it glides on just like chapstick except a lot smoother. This also gives the lips great color, its sheer enough to give your lips a healthy "rose" tint to your lips. It also has SPF which is something that I always look for in makeup! I already had one of these but I'm glad I got an extra now! These go for $22.50 which I know sounds like a lot but this is a really great product that you can use everyday and has a nice lemony scent to it which I love!  The only other thing was a ModCloth offer which I talk more about in my video review. Overall I was really happy with this box and I got some really good things! Check out my full review below!
